Welcome to the Taylor Lab

Metapopulation Genetics, Invasive Species, Mating Systems, Genetic Conflict, Mitochondrial Genome Evolution

Our research explores the genetics and evolution of subdivided populations (metapopulations), the history of invasive species, mating system evolution and the evolution of mitochondrial genomes. An underlying theme involves systems of conflict and cooperation; there is the possibility of multilevel selection in structured populations, and there is genetic conflict between the nuclear and mitochondrial genomes. We are interested in recruiting students and post-doctoral fellows that share some of these interests.

We use a wide variety of approaches: molecular population genetics, genomics, field experiments, classical genetics & theory.
